Hi Bryson,
Pls throw the pH plus and minus. They can cause you troubles as they adjust the pH without your control. This alone can inhibit your process of cycling.
Make sure ammonia is pure. Shouldn't be bubbling vigorously or having scents.
You're ready if you have pure ammonia in your pack. The rest are fine.

well the kit is just an amonia test kit had 2 different bottles they both say amonia test solution.... im guessing neither of these are amonia...

Can you post a pic of your ammonia test kit? Ammonia test kits are bought separately as a lot of test kits don't contain ammonia test.

sure how do i post pic?

Lupin 08-10-2006 09:03 PM

Just click the "Upload Picture" mode. It's at the right corner of the Post a Reply mode.
It will not support bmp or bpeg format however.

ok i browsed for the pic found it and hit send then the little screen went blank white....

When you found the pic, did you click "Open", then "Browse"?
After that, just click "Send" and wait for a few seconds. Then the pic will appear. Just click "Insert Picture and Upload Another". That will then stick to your reply.

Hi, you can set up the tank and get it runing, but do not put fish in it. Go buy something called cycle and put it in the tank. Your tank should be ready for fish within a week after you put in the cycle.
