BUGS in my aquarium!!!
I just purchased some plants for my aquarium - Put them in and now I have seen very little bugs crawling around in my tank. Any idea what kind of bugs they could be? Plants purchased are... 2-hornwort, 2-anubius, and 1-mundo.:-?

They are snails, I have not yet figured out how to effectively get rid of them, if I were you I'd ring up the place you got them from and complain. Also if that last *mondo* is most probably mondo grass, which is not an aquatic plant, and it will die with a week or so...

What size are these bugs? Are they all over the tank, or confined to the plants? Identification would be easier if you could post a picture of them.

I saw about 4 bugs when I first put in the plants, that was yesterday. Now today I can't find them... must be hideing. If I see them again I will post pics. Thanks to all who replied.:thankyou:

did they move around like a little caterpillar,or
slide around like a snail with no shell. ?
could be leeches or planaria worms.

There are a variety of freshwater insects. I haven't heard any stories of them appearing in aquariums... What kind of fish do you have in the tank?

i had that too once...just one bug. Like a dragonfly nymph. its not a dragonfly, but the other...cant remember its name. I't'll die eventually, or fly out of ure tank when it matures cos then it has to surface
