Is she pregnant...............

or it's just wishful thinking??

Purchased from LFS 2 wks ago, has been in tank with 1 male guppy. She is the most agressive guppy I've seen, even bossing the male around, let alone other females. I haven't witnessed any action but I'm wondering whether this shape is natural or not for female guppies. My other females are a lot more slender so to speak.

Thanks!

I second that. Guppys are breeding machines. So although theyre beautiful, they will overrun your tank if you dont do something about it.
The correct term for a fish being pregnant is being gravid, if i'm not mistaken.

That looks like my fish. Anyone know when they tend to give birth again?

Isn't the gestation period like 28 days? Yeah they are breeding machines. Pretty much all females are pregnant unless they have never seen a male or at least not for a LONG time. They can store sperm too.
