Bolivian Rams and Gold Rams
Do they get along? I have 1 bolivian in my tank right now he pretty much owns the whole tank. Hes grown in these 3 weeks ive had him. Seems pretty happy.

Ive been wanting to get more but the store where I bought him hasnt ordered any since then ( 3weeks) . So i went by today and saw 3 small rams. They look gold and they say they are gold rams. But one of them looks bolivian.

Should i get them for my tank? Will my Bolivian ram harm them? Since they are smaller than him?

**EDIT** I just looked at some pics on google and 2 of them look bolivian because of the black stripe near the eye and one does look gold.

well most chiclids can live with other chiclids and this fairy is most trustful from my experience but i would let your ram settle in because when you just get them when there little they are very agressive then they end up settleing down.

How long has your tank been running with fish? what size is the tank? what other fish are in the tank? Not all cichlids can be housed together although the bolivian and german blue or gold rams can if there is enough room for each.

My tank is a 29g. Tank has been running for a little over 2 months . Right in the tank there is only 2 zebra danios and 1 bolivian ram.

I just added yesterday 5 live plants . So right now i have a total of 7 live plants in there also with a piece of drift wood.

I was told to over plant my tank so germans can be happy . So Im working on that.

Dimensions: 30"L x 12"W x 18"H of the tank.

I wouldn't add more than one in a tank that size, and even then I would keep an eye on them to make sure they get along (or at least stay out of each other's way).

I agree with batman, One ram would be all i would add to your 29 gal and I would wait for another week before i added any fish. I say this because unless your plants were from tanks containing no fish I would wait to see if any parasites such as ICH came with the plants. It is not uncommon. I would also quarantine any new fish for two weeks to ensure they are healthy so as not to introduce any disease or parasite to my tank. The few times I have had to treat fish for ICH were the result of new plants from a tank where fish had the parasite and from introducing new fish that had it and quarantine could have prevented most cases. I have introduced fish and plants without quarantine and usually was dissapointed for not doing so.
