economical power outage protection

Being in hurricane country when we get a storm power can be out for days. Does anyone have an economical solution to keep a water pump up and running till power is restored. This would have to be with no one home as most times we have to evacuate. something like a low amperage pump that would run on auto batteries for 3-4 days would be great. would not mind investing in 3 batteries or so and wire parallel to maintain 12 volts. Lets see what ya got. Thanks!!

There is such an air pump that runs on batteries.
Check this link out there are several of them.
