Who decorates for All Hallows Eve?

Okay folks, I'm a HUGE Halloween fan. I know there are plenty of others out there who are as well. Decorating for Halloween is probably the most fun one person could ever have. So with the holiday rapidly approaching, Whose been busy carving Jack-O-Lanterns and decorating to thrill the little kiddies this year?

Let's hear your plans... Let's see some pics...

ill usually carve a pumpkin

and since its to the topic, i just read on another forum i belong to, to coat the freshly carved pumkin with ky jelly. its supposed to keep it from rotting/drying out faster. makes sense to me, ive just never gave it a whirl..ill prob. try it this year.

and rem. halloween eve = mischief night ( be careful for your decorations! )

Here is a look at last years project. The Scarecrow's head was made out of paper mache and burlap,
the body was just vines we plucked from the woods behind the yard. The bottom Pic was the window
display we did. This years project includes an arsenal of foam tombstones, a ground-breaker corpse,
and who knows what else.

Awesome job Steve! I already told you this, but that scarecrow reminds me of the film Jeepers Creepers so much!

I won't be doing anything this year, although my niece dressing up to come round on Halloween - I'll snap a couple of pics.

My parents arn't really into decorating much, but I absolutley love this time of year. If it was my house, I would go all out (like you). :-) I usually just get to carve a pumpkin and then stay out all night with my friends, but nothing to decorative.
My mom actually put up stuff that is more fall related than Halloween (mini pumpkins in baskets, orange leaves, etc) Sounds scary to me!

That's the greatest scarecrow I've ever seen. Jeepers Creepers is right! Besides buying more candy than I could possibly give away (gotta save some for me!) this year I had a friend of mine who works in the glass tile business make a skull for me. It's made out of glass tile and it's lit from behind. It's a much better looking "crystal skull" than the dorky ones they had in the Indiana Jones movie.

So the skull will be set up on the walkway along with the creepiest pumpkins I can carve. The other thing I like to do is have two bowls. One is filled with candy and the other with rotted apples & oranges. The kids knock on the door and I hold out the bowl with the rotted fruit. It's priceless to watch their faces. I've even had some kids grab the fruit and say thank you! Of course, the kids that have said thank you for the rotted fruit get triple candy.

It's also fun to glue a few quarters onto the walkway and watch kids try to pick them up. That's my trick for their treat.
I love Halloween!
