MH Lighting question
how high above the aquarium should i place a metal Halide Pendant
how strong are they?
i also forgot, is there a shielding on them? and do you have good ventilation?
Height will depend on heat, height of tank, type of corals and where they are placed. It is a very hard question to answer. A good rule is about 12 inches above water.
I don't agree with 12in from the water. i personally use 4in and i know many that do the same and keep great tanks.
