goldfish housing

i desperately need to move my 2-3 inch normal (i.e. not fancy) goldfish into my outside pond. they are in a tank which is way too small for them but i'm wondering if its too old for them outside. it is consistently 11oC at the moment in the pond and i have some other goldfish of the same size and also some big koi carp. i will check the temp in the early morning but do you think they would be ok.

would it be a good idea to put them in the conservatory for a week first to make the temp gap easier (it's 18oC in the tank, 14/15 oC in the conservatory)

i would try all you can, but golfish are very hardy, they can take alot of change
we just put ours straight out but it was summer so temps wasnt far off matching the house
good luck

How deep is your pond?:) Your goldfish might just settle at the bottom where the temperature may not be that cold as 11oC.

its just under a metre

11oC is actually too much for the goldfish and koi.:blueworry: Ich will easily appear. If not, spring virosis will. Take note that spring virosis will be too severe at temp below 18.:shake:

Can't you get another tank?:) At least for temporary housing rather than in the conservatory which can be quite cold causing them to become vulnerable to diseases.
