We need more information about the aquarium in order to discern exactly what is causing the finrot. It's almost exclusively caused by poor maintenance and dirty water. What is your water change schedule? What are the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate readings in the tank? What kind of goldfish is he?

My goldfish is a common goldfish also known as a feeder fish i have had him for 8 years the nitrate, ammonia, nitrate readings are exactly what they should be. I change his water once every month and I just cleaned his water 4 days ago I treat the water every time i clean the tank there are no ornaments or anything in the tank except for gravel thats been with him since i first got him.

I need numbers for the nitrate and ammonia. What is "fine" to one person isn't fine for another.

Best way to treat fin rot if it's caught early is water changes, water changes, and more water changes. If it's advanced, meds may be needed. But generally, fin rot is a result of poor water quality, which is why water changes (removing the fish from the conditions that are causing the fins to rot) will turn it around.

Fin is caused by poor water quality so adding some live plants could help that issue and provide some hiding place for your goldfish. What type of filter do you have?? You said you treat the water every water change, what do you treat it with??
Right now your best bet would be daily water changes so the quality of the water improves.
