The top link does work for me. Through I have no clue what that is or how to tell ya to treat it. Sorry! Hopefully someone will come along soon that can help.

It looks like it could be a wound of some sort. Is there anything sharp or rough in the tank that he could have scraped his face on?

I'd set up a hospital tank and treat with Melafix. I've had great success using it for wounds. Keep the water super clean too.
