Price of corydoras

Anybody know the average prices for corydoras? Are they hardy fish?

The average around here is 4-6 US dollars a piece

thats to vague. there are umpteen different types of corys. the rarer the fish, the higher the price. common ones you can get as stated above but then you have the rarer and more expensive one that can cost you in the teens. check out the link. http://www.corysrus.com/gallery_co_1.htm

I would say the hardiness also varies a good deal depending on species.

Sometimes, but not always, some days, but not every day. :-)

It is possible, though rare - and it is highly discouraged by serious fish keepers.

Additionally, Corys can cost anywhere from $1 to $100 and more. - Frank

fish have to be of the same family/species in order to have a chance at breeding if i am not mistaking.

Cross breeding is rare in Corys, but it is possible and occurrences are well documented in the hobby. - Frank
