Agressive-Semi agressive tank problems
I have a 65 Gallon with 2 African cichlids 2 balas and and adolescent ID shark. Someone told me to get more cichlids to make it less stressful. How many is too many?

idk but you will need a bigger tank for the id and the balas

ya the I am selling the ID and getting the Balas their own tank cause they are breeding but my Black Bemba is fighting everyone. And this guy at a pet shop told me I needed more Cichlids. Is he just trying to make a sale?

for the black bembas i would get 3 or 4 and just make it there tank nothing else in it but thats just my opinion

The iridescent shark shouldn't be sold in the aquarium hobby, in my opinion. This fish gets absolutely huge and unless you have a heated thousand gallon pond or bigger, you don't have enough room for it. Bala sharks are difficult, if not impossible, to breed in the home aquarium and I've never seen any reports of anyone successfully doing it.

The tank would be much better off stocked with other Tropheus species and maintained at a high pH and hardness.
