Fish sinks at the bottom and die eventually
Dear all, I am just new here but I need some advices regarding my aquarium dilemma.
I am a fish lover also but recently I gave a friend some fishes (goldfish and small carp) for her as a birthday gift. She went out to buy a new 15gal tank in order to accommodate all the new fishes. It also means new water and filter for the tank. After filling the tank with water and treating it with methyl. Blue and Chlorine treatment, she adjusts the temperature so as to transfer the fishes immediately. After all the preparations, she freed the fishes within the same day. After a few hours of eager swimming around, one by one the fish sinks and appeared still breathing. But after several hours one die after the other without floating but rather just sinking on the bottom. I suspect it might be the condition of the water but I am not so sure with the treatment needed. She tried changing the water and introducing the fishes again but same scenario happens
Can anyone please give some advice what went horribly wrong and solutions as well.

hello and welcome.
ok well did you cycle the tank first ?
because if you have not then you have a brand new raw tank,
which you have treated with meds before anything ???
the dechlorinator was correct, however the meth blue ??
anyway, are you/can you give her some media from your filter ?
she needs it !!
goldfish are heavy polutors of water, and going into a new uncycled
tank,it will buld up toxins very quickly, and the new fish were used
to clean water.
You need like a 55-70 gallon tank (or higher, don't know how many fish you got her) for a carp and some goldfish. No really, I'm not kidding.
Few questions: What temp did she have it at?
Why the meth blue?
How long was the acclimation and how did she go about doing it?
