alive or dead missing hermit crab
As funny as this may sound...
I can't seem to locate my one and only hermit crab.
Do these things hide? How do I know its alive or not?
It can possibly be molting. Inverts tend to get away from everything when they molt.
And, mine do hide when I am doing things to the tank, but are usually very active. Sometimes though, I can't locate one (even in a 10G tank), but they always show up. If your really worried, check for his shell somewhere. He could be hiding in it.
i don't know anythng about marine stuff,so bare with me,
i just know that land hermits do this.
could you maybe add some empty shells ?
it might entise him to come out, most hermit crabs like to
change their shell.
Thanks for your help. I will keep searching.
I have an extra shell in the tank. But he/she hasn't transfered over it it as yet.
no problem,hope you find him.
