More sand questions..

I have sand as my substrate and have noticed that my water is a little cloudy. Is this normal? If it is what can I do to minimalize the cloudiness?

How long has the tank been set up? Usually sand needs to be rinsed really well before being added to the tank to avoid it clouding up. The cloudiness should clear up after a few days as long as the tank is well-filtered.

If it's been set up for a while, cloudiness usually indicates a bacterial bloom and poor water quality.

Well I guess I posted too soon, it went away......water is now crystal clear.

Glad to hear! You'll probably want to rinse your filter insert with dechlorinated room temp water. Right after the tank is set up all that sand gathers very quickly in the filter and will slow down the flow rate.
