very handy tool for fish keeping.
While typing this from my computer at work i am also sitting two feet from a 29 gal stocked with some fancy guppys, two juvenile long finned albino bristlenose, and six julii corys. Yesterday I was trying to get a look see to see if bristlenose were both male or female or male and female.I was looking for bristles but the fish were not being very cooperative. I then spied Upon my desk a rather large magnifying glass. Needless to say, the difference was night and day. Even the guppies were magnified to the point that you could count their scales. It occured to me that this would be of some benefit to those looking for parasites in the tank or on their fish. I am sure others have used this as a tool and thought perhaps i would share it with everyone.BTW appears both BN are female.

Great tip 1077! Funnily enough, when I was trying to sex my bristlies as juveniles, I used the zoom function on my camcorder to see them in close detail. Turned out mine were both females too :)

use it all the time to skim over my live rock in my saltwater tank and get a closer look at my corals.
