Purchased established 29 gal tank, questions
I have never had a SW tank before. I do have 100 G FW. So I found a 29 G established tank FOWLR. In the tank are
two clowns 3-4"
One LRG green brittle star
One BTA looks green
Filter Whisperx45 240gph
light power glow 20 W
The tank was transported home and set up 2 wks ago.
Feeding brittle star and BTA silverside, star every other day, hes big and I want to keep him happy since I learned OL worst star you can have, AKA star of death (to fishes) The BTA I have Fed twice in the 2 wks. it is very small, maybe 3" across.
Everything seemed fine and then last night BTA looked listless so I thought maybe passing waste. Then it picked up and looked great. I checked on it an hour later and it had moved under some LR in kinda a cave. Now this worries me because what little I do know is they need a faie amount of light. It looks ok because I can see the edge of it. I'm just worried there could be a problem.... any advice welcome. I will try to send pichttp://www.fishforum.com/userpix/691...ideo_005_1.jpg
Tonight came hm and BTA is out frm under cave. Looks good, fed it some silverside and everything seems fine.
the anem looks bleached and is probably only surviving because you are feeding it just my opinion maybe it is just a bad pic
