what temperature for lionhead goldfish?
What is the Ideal tempature for a lionhead goldfish? Any Help would be greatly obliged.
65-72f (18-22 c )
they are a social fish, however tank mate must be chosen with care,
from what i can read, their eye sight is poor, and due to
their body shape they would not benifit from being with
a comet goldfish for instance, they need very clean water,
and can get diseases as easily as tropical fish.
food is most flake food, treat of fresh live daphina is always
welcomed by gold fish(mine used to love it)but it can be
detrimental to their health, freezed dried woud probably
be better, also soak any dried food before feeding,it
stops the fish taking in extra airplants, real or silk, help with
saftey,as do smooth rocks,caves.
hope that helps.
Thank you once again willow ^.^
you're very welcome. :)
I agree with Willow and 68 is probably a good number to settle on, or even a bit cooler. Warmer means they will be more active, but it also shortens their life cycle. Also, warmer means low dissolved oxygen content.
