question about my sump..

i just finished setting up my sump.. and it's running fine right now..

my question is:
what should i buy to prevent my sump from black out? i heard that it's going to overflow.. i'm afraid of that..

please, help me out.. thanks..

if it was properly built there should not be any worry.
there should be a syphon break in your overflow ( small hole that stops the syphon or if its a box overflow, it should only be on the surface of your water )

there should be enough room in your sump to take whatever amount of water flows out from your plumbing and overflowbox down to it, this will prob. be a few gallons, depending on how you have your set up.

if all this is in effect, there should be no worries

i would just recommend a float switch for your return pump so when the waters low it doesnt run dry, burn out and risk a chance of fire..

Motion seconded!

It would help if you could either provide a detailed description of your overflow and sump set-up, or provide photos of it. If there are any faults in the design that would cause worry, they should be easily spotted by anyone with moderate experience in operating a sump..
