Not liking that box that keeps flashing. The whole time I was taking these the male was (bam!) hitting the glass.

As they get better at posing,I get worse at taking pictures so it will always be good enough to see what I photographed.

This is their home 20 gallon, double filtered.

Take a look at him, she got him good under the eye. Yesterday his eye was cloudy, but today it has cleared up.Just some minor scale loss. I tried ,but this was the clearest photo of him,he is so fast shaking his head darting around and biting at the glass.

That is so cool. About the most exciting thing my fish do is eat....
Looking forward to the newly hatched fry pics!

I think I'm going to start needing a second hand to count up the number of times your convicts have spawned since I joined this forum (or since you joined, I forget which was first). I've always wanted a convict pair, but since I don't have any bigger cichlids I really have no idea what I'd do with all those fry. Maybe after I get the Jack Dempsey...

I'd have a hard time using such an intelligent fish as a feeder. I mean, guppies I can handle, cuz they're so dumb I usually have to pick them out of my net after cleaning a tank, but cichlids? Not sure I could do it

this is their 6th spawn.they are due to hatch saturday night/sunday morning.

okie-the hardest part about using them as feeders is they are lightening fastand hard as heck to catch.plus, I cant just drop them in the Oscar tank, they can't catch the little buggers.I hold them by the tail under the surface. They yank em' right off my fingers and usually nip me in the prosess.I don't think I could stand raising mollies, they are the dumbest fish.My friends mollies actually swim into the net!!! DUHHH!!!
