Top fin I just bought a topfin 60. I don't like not having a penguin, but the store didn't have any in stock. I had just gotten the last one, and it turned out when I brought it home, it was missing pieces. So I had to settle for this topfin. Its alright, because its huge in comparison to my tank. So I know its at least doing an ok job. So whats everyones opinions on this make of filters? They are guaranteed for life so I figure I can't go wrong. My only regret is that the box says extremely quiet, and its really not. Its the loudest filter I've ever owned. Does anyone else have this problem? |
So no one here uses a topfin filter? :? |
*shrug* I use Whisper ones..it's the same thing except I think the Top Fin's missing a few things. Does it come with the black coarse filter pad? |
Isn't that Petco brand? I don't support those stores...however, I do know they offer a lifetime warranty. |
Its petsmart. They are pretty good. Most of the people kind of know what they are talking about. The fish tanks are kinda over stocked sometimes but for they most part they are good. Umm its filter medias a bit strange, its like a porus white bag with a black plastic top piece that locks it into the filter part? If that made sense :? Edit: I just did a search for whisper filters and yes, they are the same. |
Top Fin is Petsmart's store brand. Frankly I wouldn't trust them with something important like a filter or heater. You really do get what you pay for. |
Well it was like a 60 dollar filter. Their prices aren't any different then I would see at big als, my local fish store. I guess 60 bucks is cheap for a filter thats for a 60 gallon tank lol. |
