I'm back from a long hiatus :D
Do Clown Killifish jump? I'm thinking of putting some in my 10 gallon, but it has an open top, and I'm worried that they may jump out. Anyone have experience with them?
All killifish are capable of jumping. Place floating plants or hood on your tank.
I've got a pair in a 2.5G.
Yes, they can and will jump. More so than even other killifish.
The males in particular like to float *just* below the surface of the water. So anything that startles them will result in a fish out of water. They're *tiny* too so they can get through very small holes.
IMHO they wouldn't work in your tank. For one thing, you're fully stocked. For another, the killis will be picked on. Thirdly, they require colder water than your tropical fish. I keep mine in an unheated tank.
