Calming down my bettas

I recently did a diy job on dividing my tank into 3 and its not the best looking tank, but it seems that all of my bettas in the tank are a little stressed. Is there any oils or different things I could put in the water to calm them a little?

Oils? No. The best way to remove stress in a divided betta tank is having LOTS of plants and decorations along the dividers. When I just had a single divider I stuffed the sides with stem plants. You shouldn't be able to see all the way through the tank at all. Some large floating plants will help, too.

And also keep in mind that no matter how hard you try, some bettas just can't take a divided tank.

Yes, fish release pheromones, so they can tell another is present without even seeing them.
