Sparkle used to zip around like crazy for a while too...he has calmed down quite a bit..I added more silk plants and a cave and that seemed to direct his attention away from zipping around.

i would do the same. put more live or silk plants in there. they love planted tanks and might calm his nerves a bit

mine did that whan he only had one plant in there, i added a second and he seems quite content now.

i have also heard that if the fish has ich it will dart around and will try to scratch itself on the wall/gravel/plants ect...

Does he look like he is flicking off things or is he just plowing right into them? Cuz the flicking or "flashing" would indicate his scales are irritated.
