Directing wanted posters elsewhere
 

I wanted to remind everyone that our classifieds section serves to connect members within our community. Referring users to other vendors outside of this site is off-topic, and can derail the original posting. Please do not post those referrals within this section.

If you would like suggestions for vendors, please post your topic in the 'Product, Service, and Equipment Reviews' section. This way the information gathered will be more accessible to other users in the future, and will best serve the community.

What if one cannot find what they want here? I don't see where directing them to a site that can fulfill their needs/wants is off topic or harmful. It seems that it would be helping a fellow aquarist. I think you need to reconsider your policy. I guess I'll just PM the member. But that is kind of defeatist in that others will not see benefit.
