2 gallons for a goldfish? No. What other fish are in the aquarium that you'd need to segregate the goldfish?

Anything that involves the words "small" and "goldfish" does NOT work. 2 goldfish would need a much bigger tank.

Gold fish are coldwater (not tropical), ridiculously messy and grow at least 12 inches if not 24. While they are very hardy fish, which has made them a common, they can't be properly cared for in a tank that size, and it will end up impacting the health of all other residents of the tank.

In short...they need about 29 gallons each. The idea that they only grow to the size of their tank is a myth and a very painful one for them.
