My fish have ick
I have a 55 gallon with platys 5 , guppies 3, pleco 1,2 dwarf gouramis just added less than a week ago, and several fry wp are all norm last water change mon and today,
anyways they have ick and I am starting treatment but my question is they have some small brownish stringing things on them and their fins also. its only the ones that have the ick spots is this normal? Thank you all
Sounds like external parasites, take a close look! Is it little worms attached to the sides of your fish? Is a picture possible?
They dont look like worms and I started ICK treatmetn last night and I see less of them. IS this a good sign? I will post pics later this afternoon
:dunno: Could be? But brownish stringy things are not ich so... I would need a picture before I tell you whats good or not. What sort of ich treatment?
Sounds like maybe anchor worms or something like that. As ich is a parasite it makes sense that the treatment would also help against the worms, however, it may not be the most effective remedy.
well I found out it is anchor worm and petsmart is giving me all the stuff to treat for anchor worm and ick because it came from fish I bought from them so it will be all taken care of soon I hope
