My Computer Sucks!

i have a dell laptop ad every so often the screen will just go black! after that there is no return. i have to either take the battery out or just hold the power button down for like 10 seconds and it will turn off.
What is wrong?

I bought a Dell a few months ago and returned it. I now have a HP laptop. MUCH better. 250g HD, 2g RAm, 19" screen, built in web cam...... A bit pricier but a much better computer.
