New 37 gallon Hey guys. Well, MTS has struck again. I picked up a 37 gallon tank. There's no fish in it yet. I plan to move my 6 Harlequins from the 10 gallon plus eventually add an angel or two and some cories. My 10 gallon will then become my QT/hospital tank. Here's a couple pics. http://www.fishforum.com/userpix/2947_DSCN0032_1.jpg http://www.fishforum.com/userpix/2947_DSCN0034_1.jpg |
Nice set up!!! That looks great! Lol it always seems funny seeing tanks with 37 gallons, Just seems odd, like what a random number. I really like the sand, and if I may make a suggestion, you need a background  Can't wait to see some fish in it! |
Love the driftwood with the anubia. Can't wait to see a shoal or school of cory's scurrying about in the bottom. :) |
i like black back grounds vary nice an angel would look great :D |
Your tank looks really nice  ! I love the sand substrate, I'm thinking that the next time I get a new tank I may try the sand because it looks so great. How do you get your driftwood to sink? |
Lovely looking tank Jeaninel :) |
Thanks guys. Little-Fizz, there is a black background on it. lol Kim, that driftwood was actually a piece I originally had in my 10 gallon. It barely fit in there! It was releasing alot of tannins so I took it back out and left it soaking in a bucket. It never did go back into the 10 because my filter gave out and I replaced it with an internal filter meant for 10-30 gallons. Well, that filter took up more space and there was not enough room for the driftwood. So when I got this tank I new it would be perfect. I swiped the anubias from my 10 gallon also. Sorry to ramble on but to answer your question, it had always sank. I think it must be the type of wood or something. It's rather heavy. |

Yes, upon second evaluation I most definitely see that your walls are a lighter colour and the background on your fish tank is indeed black. Jeez, normally my excuse would be I had just woken up, but that was certainly not the case :demented: |
Well, I transferred the Harlequins to their new home and they are really diggin' it! I moved a sponge from the 55 to the 37 to help the cycle. Also, picked up 2 angelfish today and they are in the QT tank. I'll try to get some pics of them up in the next day or so. |
it looks awesome! =D |
