Upside down catfish good for community tank?
I've done some research, and I've seen that they are suppose to be good for community tanks. I just wanted to see if anybody with experience can second that?
I've seen that they only grow to about 4 inches, and are very peaceful. Anybody with extra information please help. Thank you.[/u]

I have an upside-down cat and the only tank-mate he ever bothers is the pictus cat, and that is only during evening feedings. That problem was solved by putting the sinking wafers on each end of the tank at feeding time. Other than that he is the most peaceful and docile of all the tank inhabitants!

They're peaceful alright. Too peaceful that you hardly get to see them.... :D

I ave 2 in my 55 gallon community tank. They are great inhabitants but there is a good chance you will really only see them at feeding time. They like to hide out under the rocks and in plants in my aquarium.

lol I just opened this thread, and realized I started it over a year ago. Anyways, I don't know when I bought him, but I did ATLEAST months ago. He has been great ever since. At first he used to just hang out in a cave, and only come out when I dropped in an algae wafer. Now, he hangs out on the underside of a plant, on the opposite side of the tank. Once in a while, he gets frisky and roams the tank, but that's not too often. He's a great tankmate! I'd suggest him to any community tank.
Thank you everyone for your input.
