angel fish with 7 green tiger barbs ok??
I really want to add an angel fish or 2 to my 55 gallon but i have heard that the green tiger barbs are very nippy, the last thing i want is to see my fish stressed or be injured. the guy at the fish store said they shouldnt be so bad because there are 7 of them? what should i do? i also have a bala shark and a geophagus in there.
Yes, they aren't as nippy in a bigger group, but I wouldn't risk it. They could cause a lot of damage to your angel and fast!
I'm sorry, but this question really has my blood boiling. The advice from your pet shop is ridiculous at best. Absolutely NO you can not add an Angel to this tank.
Bala sharks will eventually outgrow the tank growing to 12 inches and more. These are also too active for the likes of the angelfish. If I were you, try harlequin rasboras or diamond tetras as a replacement. What species is the geo?
ive had my community tank going for quite some time now and i would really like to get some fish that will get a little bigger and some fish that are a little more aggressive thats why i had thought an angel would be nice, but now i know better. what else would you suggest?
