Golden chinese algae eater

I bought a econdhand tank already furnished with fish. I found out that one of them was the above and did not think anything of it ....algae eater what harm could it do. The fish in my tank started disappearing one by one. Checked everything out and I mean everything. They still disappeared one by one. Then I found out this fish was not as harmless as I thought. It is about 10cm long. I wanted a passive tank. I happen to like loaches. I do have a cichlid tank and a coldwater tank as well. Can I put it with the cichlids? One very large pleco in there and one jack dempsey and 2 african cichlids. Again not my choice either.

You can't put the CAE with African cichlids. CAE's are not loaches either. if I were you, get another tank (preferably 55g) to house it. Try Craiglist. Arulius barbs, filament barbs and danios often make suitable tankmates for CAE's.
