My Aquapod 12gal

Tank #1, tank #2 will be started next weekend.

Not much in it so far 13 lbs of live rock, 1 torch coral, 1 zoo rock, 1 Javanese damsel. This tank was already running and not cycling. Damsel will go into tank #2 to cycle next weekend when I put 2 juvenile false percs and more coral in this one.

Cool another aquapod  , What are the plans for it?? BTW that torch looks pretty good. Is your 2nd tank a 12g aquapod too??

Going off the advice of another forum member will probably put some mushrooms, more zoo rock, and xenia in it. May break up the live rock into some smaller chunks too. Back filter just running foam and some carbon right now. Will be adding some live rock rubble in one of the chambers as well and replacing stock pump with a Maxi jet.

Second tank is the same model AP 12 as well. I actually lucked out because I bought this one used with the sand for $60, paid another $30 to the guy for the 13 lbs of live rock then got home and found out that the tank was the one that was recalled two years ago. So I cut the power cords on the hood and took them down and got a brand new tank. I'm rewiring the hood to eliminate the shock hazard and setting that up later this week which I'm not sure what route I'm going to go with the second one yet.

The Torch and Zoo rock was an impulse buy at the LFS. Got both for $38 looked like a good price to me so I snagged them. Hopefully the Torch will do ok in this tank. May need to move it up higher to light?

Well do you have the Reg. lights?? if so then yeah id put the torch a bit higher. anyways instead of really breaking the rocks you should get some more and just stack things up, so you have a place for the torch you know.

Yeah I think I will just buy some more live rock as I'm picking up a couple false percs later this week from the same guy I bought the live rock/tank from and I want some to start the second tank anyways. Lights are just the stock ones so I will definitely move the torch up higher.

They will be a pair. They'll be the only fish in the tank. Will add a shrimp of some sort in a couple weeks too and more clean up crew. Today I added two blue leg hermits and a two astrea snails.
