Help with glowlight Tetras!!!
I purchased a glowlight Tetra about a week ago because I loved the way it looked. Its eyes were glowing red, with a red stripe through it. I went back to the same store today, and bought another one. I didn't watch them catch it, and I just got home and put him in my tank, only to notice that this one has yellow glowing eyes, with a yellow stripe. Is this the same type of tetra, or is it a different kind. Can Glowlights be different colours? Im confused help please.

Interesting question. However, in the world of fish, red, yellow, orange, what is the difference really? My experienced gut instinct is that you have the same fish. I suspect the yellow coloration is due to stress and will intensify into a deep orange in time.
For the record, Glowlights are a schooling fish and will not behappy unless kept in a group. A minimum of 5 or 6 should be kept, with a preference for 8 or more.

Thanks a lot. As soon as i finished the question, I noticed that he started to turn darker like the other one. You were right. I just read that today too that they are happier in schools of 5 or more. Im going to go back tomorrow and buy 3 more so ill have 5. Thank you very much for your input.
