I was thinking about building a 821 gallon fresh-air vivarium with a 51 gallon pond.

I'm from illinois and i want to know what would work in there thats from illinois (livestock)

Whoa...can I ask why you're building an 821 gallon vivarium with only 51 gallons of water? You said "fresh air"; does that mean outdoors? Since you're in Illinois you're definitely looking at cold water fish like goldfish and koi, but only having 51 gallons of water really limits what you can keep in the pond, fish-wise. Since adult koi get over three feet, it's really recommended that you have about 1000 gallons per fish when they're big. Goldfish stay smaller, but even in 51 gallons I wouldn't try more than 1 or 2 goldfish.

If you're thinking of other types of critters like turtles, tadpoles/frogs, or other things, I'll really have to leave that up to other people as I'm not really an expert on them. I would venture to guess that you might be able to have some kind of turtle, though.

I am going to build it just to exhibit a miniature local ecosystem and yes it is outside + i was thinking about just putting fathead minnows in the pond
