Lots of Bubbles/Filter noise

Over the past couple of days there have been lots of bubbles gathering on the surface of the water in my aquarium. Sometimes I try and scoop them out or move them around but yesterday morning they were built up excessively in one corner of the tank.

The bubbles seem almost soapy or filmy, also. I have 3 swordtails and 3 mollies. One of the swordtails had babies yesterday but I just left them and I don't think many of the little guys made it very long.

I have a (I think) Marineland Up To 20 filter. Changed the filter pad thing yesterday. I've also noticed my filter making a spewing or spraying noise about every 1o or 20 seconds.

Today is cleaning day so I'm doing a water change today and vacuuming what gravel I can without removing a ton of water.

I can't currently post my water parameters as I am headed out now to get new testing stuff, but is there anything off the top of anyone's head that you can throw my way??

so i did some investigating and found out that the filter replacement didnt fit my filter EXACTLY and it was causing the noise but im still getting bubble build up

Is it possible any soap residue has made its way into the tank?

Once you test for water parameters, we should get a better idea.
Foamy water usually indicates poor water quality. What is your schedule for water changes/gravel vacuuming, how much and how often?

Also some of the dead fry or uneaten food/waste accumulation will polute your water if not removed promptly.
