Fish stressed after a move
Hi all - we just moved to a bigger place, so I have lots of room for my fish! I have a 29-gallon with two fancy goldfish and a 55-gallon with 2 angels, four zebra danios, 4 black skirt tetras, two cories, 2 sword tails, two neon tetras, and a female betta (I've just collected friends' fish when they need new homes).
Amazingly, everyone survived the move! That said, I had an ammonia spike in my 55-gallon (guess the bio bugs died on that filter during transit) which caused one of my black skirts to get foggy eyes. I took filter media from the 29-gallon and put it in the 55-gallon filter, so the problem was solved overnight, but a week later the fish still has cloudy eyes. Will this clear up now that the bacterial colony has been re-established? Is there something I can do for him? I treated him with a bit of melafix and pimafix, but other than that I've done nothing to him or the tank other than several water changes. He still schools with the other black skirts, so I think he can see well enough. The fogginess only covers part of the iris.
