when to use algae chips?
 

should i always have algae chips for the pleco? how can i tell if he has enough algae to eat? how do i use algae chips without making a HUGE mess in the tank?

Yea i was wondering about the disc to pleco size and species ratio too. sombody needs to set up a chart for the weasels.

i feed mine a few a day.

1 or 2 a day! I usually just put 1 in a day before i go to sleep.

1 per 3" pleco per day plus 1 if you have other bottom dwelling algae eaters (loaches love 'em). That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
