Need Recomendations for a Hood

I have recently inherited a 48x18x20 Gallon Tank and I am having difficulties finding a 48x18 Lighted Hood, does anyone have recomendations?

I would recommend a Perfecto glass canopy and some sort of strip light rather than an all-in-one hood unit. Here are some links:

Glass canopy:

Fluorescent strip light (fine if you don't plan on keeping light-intensive live plants):

Compact Fluorescent Fixture (more expensive, but this is the way to go if you want to have a planted aquarium):

Serious Business Compact Fluorescent Lights (if you want to do a planted aquarium with plants that need *lots* of light):

I haven't ordered anything from that website, but those are good brand names and those prices are excellent compared to what you'd pay at a store. Other members of that forum buy from that site on a regular basis and I've heard no complaints about it.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I have ordered hundreds of dollars worth of stuff from F&S' and they are great!

PetSolutions has that stuff on sale right now.
