Need Recomendations for a Hood
 

I have recently inherited a 48x18x20 Gallon Tank and I am having difficulties finding a 48x18 Lighted Hood, does anyone have recomendations?

I would recommend a Perfecto glass canopy and some sort of strip light rather than an all-in-one hood unit. Here are some links:

I haven't ordered anything from that website, but those are good brand names and those prices are excellent compared to what you'd pay at a store. Other members of that forum buy from that site on a regular basis and I've heard no complaints about it.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I have ordered hundreds of dollars worth of stuff from F&S' and they are great!
