i was researching fish because im thinking of adding a catfish to my 15 gal. currently has one dwarf and one spotted gourami and lots of plants. They're supposed to get 6 in. Does anyone have one? This would be my first catfish.... and i think i might have trouble finding a zebra catfish because i never even saw one until researching it.

Can you post the scientific name? I think you are asking about a Zebra Pleco, but I can't be sure without the scientific name.

Those don't get 6 inches...more like 2 feet!

Ahhh... a Banded Shovelnose Catfish in my neck of the woods. Ok, you do not want this fish unless you have at least a 400 gallon aquarium. They grow way to large to be kept successfully for most hobbyists.

Not to mention how big their mouths get! Those poor gourami wouldn't last long :(
