Salt and Pepper Corys with Tetras
I'd like to know if i could add Corydoras Habrosus to my tank
Will tetras when fully grown bother the small corydoras?
I have my corys with black tetras and have never noticed any problems at all. It seems like a pretty common combination in my experience.
Assuming by tetra you are referring to the standard species, they will not bother corys.
Corydoras habrosus is a delicate species. When you were in my fish room a couple weeks ago, you probably saw my group of this species in the 70g. I do not have particularly good luck with them, nor with C. pygmaeus edither. Not sure why, as my many wild-caught species in the 115g do very well and are regularly spawning.
Charles (you know who I mean) told me that the dwarf species must be on sand, and I have had better luck since changing to sand. But I still have losses higher with these two species than anything else. Dr. Neale Monks wrote that the "dwarf" corys need lower temperatures, no higher than 75F max, and I am beginning to accept that this may be my problem. My tanks are 76-77F, and this may just burn the little corys out.
Thanks fish monger and Byron,
I think i stick with regular corys like Metae and Rabauti
My False Julii didn't survive the re-cycling of my tank, just one left and have red gills with heavy breathing
But for now all my Neon tetras are good, i thought there were sensible species for cycling
Byron, I got 12 Golden Tetras from Charles and love them, nice color with the Neon in the tank
Do you think I can add 7 Harlequin Rasbora?
Of course, I'll add them in 3 or 4 weeks maybe more
After 3 days, still got 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate
And thank you for the plants, you're right, it helps a lot
Do you know where i can get the Rasbora?
Thank you very much
You're very helpful
