can leopard ctenopoma live with red tiger oscar?
Hi! I have a 50 g freshwater aquarium. It has 3x 1/4 inch snails, 4 goldfish, 1 pictus catfish, one 8 inch pleco, 1 11/2 inch redfin shark, 2 inch leopard ctenopoma. They have been in the tank for about 1/2 year and doing well. i would like to add my 3 inch red tiger oscar to the mix but wonder if that is a wise idea or is everyone going to be eaten? Temp sits at 25 degress. Thanks!
Id say your already heavily stocked anyways and would advise against adding him, youre overstocked with just the goldfish alone assuming they are fancies.
If your pleco is a common, its going to need a bigger tank in the future as well.
Feel free to look at the profiles we have listed at the top or click the highlighted names, the profiles have the recommended tanks sizes for all the fish you have listed :-)
Yeah an oscar will definitely not fit in that tank.

I agree. And there are some real issues with the present fish mix that may seem OK now but are unlikely to remain so. Please have a read of the profile for each fish, click the shaded names in the earlier posts for the profile.
Regardless of all that, goldfish should not be combined with "tropicals" as someone will lose.
