55 gal and compatability

I have a 55 gal community tank that has been set up and stocked for about 5 months. I have a hob filter amd 3 sponge filters. I have 3 angel fish that are about 4 inches, 1 cory, 1 pleco, and 10 platties. The platties are for a little color and the fry are for the angels.water is hard and ph is 6.8. I keep the temp at 80 deg for the angels. Can I add some gouramis or are they fin nippers? I want to stock tank but not hurt the growth rate of the angels. I also have about 8 live plants in tanks. I would also like to thank everyone that has helped with my questions in the past. This is a great forum with a lot of nice people

I might be worried about mixing the gouramis and the angels. I would add more cories. They're a lot more active and interesting in groups than when kept singly.
