Pelvicachromis taeniatus

I am trying to breed my pair of pelvicachromis taeniatus and I was wondering what I can do to get the process going quicker.

I just put a flower pot in yesterday and they have both been showing signs of mating and what not (female vibrating)

My ph is at 7.0 all the time
and the temp is at 80

Hmm they will probably spawn on their own time. Are there plants in front of the entrance to the flower pot? A little privacy should help. Also, next time you do a water change, try pouring the water in from higher up. It'll help simulate rainfall, which I know helps a lot of different fish think it's mating time.

This link has a bit on breeding them. It says you should bring your pH down a lot further:
