Constipated

How can you tell if your betta is constipated? I think Survana is--he seems to be bulging towards the end of his tail--but I can't be sure. I know how to cure it--pea, I beleive--but I can't diagnose it.

Has he excreted wastes at all? If he hasn't, then it is most likely constipation. Fast him for a few days, even a week.

I haven't seem him going but, then again, I normally don't see any of them go. He seems to be eating okay, though.

I should stop feeding him?
