The Miracle Fruit

Chris' post about the strange new Dorito flavor reminded me of something interesting I came across recently. Has anyone ever heard of "Miracle Fruit", or Synsepalum dulcificum? Has anyone ever tried it? This berry supposedly alters the way everything tastes for more than a half hour or so. There was an article about it in the New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/28/dining/28flavor.html. I'd like to try one!
