Doritos New Flavor
I had to go to the site after I tried them because I could not believe that they actually made the flavor I thought they did! I thought it was Key Lime Pie! Sweet with a touch of lemon lime and a bit of tang. Come to find out I was wrong, but not very far off, it is Mountain Dew!

Now I am all for new flavors, lord knows that when they make a new flavor they cut back on the flavoring on the old ones so much you have to try the new ones to get any flavor but come on! Mountain Dew flavored chips!?!?!

Next thing you know someone will come out with Nacho cheese flavored Ice cream.

Some of you may like it but this one I will trying to get my money back on. I don't mind a new flavor but I would have never even bought them if I knew they would be like eating desert or drinking an overly sweet soda on a corn chip. Maybe a $0.50 cent bag but not a full sized one.

That's just plain disgusting. Did you try the ones a while back, maybe last year, that were labelled "experimental flavor x-79" or something like that? They turned out to be burger flavored. It was actually incredibly complex: you could taste the beef, the ketchup, the mustard and even the pickle. Kind of strange but interesting that they could do that.

But the real question on my mind: do the Mountain Dew chips have caffeine?

LMAO, I thought the old ones were Chili Fries and I actually liked them. I thought a good name for them would be Southwestern Chili Fries.

These new ones, I can imagine them being a good one when you have switched to Mountain Dew after drinking too much.

Eughh.. it's incredible some of the stuff they bring out now. A while back here in the UK they brought out hedgehog flavoured crisps. I don't know what they tasted like - never tried them :shake:

I've been trying to eat healthier lately but otherwise I'd be excited to try this flavor. I've always been one for crazy flavor combinations. I'd take a "Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper" over "Cola" any day of the week. Bring on the half Dorito/half soft drink mutation! :)

I do hope you are able to get your money back though, Chris.

Britain has the strangest chip flavors. For those of you US members who aren't aware, "Regular" flavor Doritos in the UK taste like our Cool Ranch, and the Nacho flavor is called "Latino" or something. Very strange.

In their defense, the Brits have Lilt, possibly the best citrus soda I've ever tasted. I miss that stuff :(

If I'm not mistaken, there are Ketchup flavored Lays in Canada. My friend had a bag once that he said he got in Canada (Canadian help here please), and I had to try some. Not that bad actually, but strange.

Not only have I heard that before as well, but I'm pretty sure I've even seen a bag of those here in the States. Silly Canadians, what with their bagged milk and all.
