Green cabomba plant

I was thinking about getting this plant when I realized my Ph was pretty high (8.2) and that it might not fare well in my tank. Will my high Ph be a problem?

By the way after some research the plant maximun Ph was either 7.0, 7.2, and 7.5.

some plants can be iffy with high ph, mine is same as yours without any buffering. vals LOVE hard water high ph and im having amazing success with water sprite maybe try that?

Cabomba was one of the only plants that bombed in my tank.... Quickly. pH 7.6 -7.8 at the time, hard water too.

What about hornwort? I heard it does great in hard water. On the opposite side how would hornwort do in acidic water?

Is there any plants that will actually suffer in neutral water? (7.0)

I've never kept these species~ but I do advise to float your stems if they're not doing too well. some infor on your lighting would be helpful ^_^

Yes, floating them gets them right up at the light.

I doubt anything would suffer in neutral water. I'm not a fan of the fluffy looking plants so hornwort never made it to my list, I wasn't sad when the cabomba failed to be honest.

Jeff.
