looking for something to eat at my sand?

ive got a good sized diatom bloom on my hands and i can just clean it off the glass, but my white sand is another story. what will fit in a 10 gallon, will clean my sand well, and looks cool all at the same time?!?

Nerite snails could be a good choice but I am not sure they eat diatoms. Just make sure to get the salt water versions and not the fresh water acclimated ones.
