Strange Guppy Behavior
I have a 5g tank housing two female and one male guppies. I got the two females first and they had fin rot, so I treated the 5g. Meanwhile, I got a male and had him in a quarantine tank, where he did just fine. The fin rot is now all cured up and I've done several water changes since ending the medication regimen, so I added the male to the tank. Right away, he started chasing after my females. "Success!" I thought. However, recently the male has only been devoting about half of his time to his romantic pursuits and spending the other half of his time swimming up and down the aquarium glass in one particular corner of the tank. Is there any particular reason for this behavior? Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to get him to cut it out if it is stressing him?

It's pretty normal. Even my loaches do that for the sake of attracting my attention to feed them.

I won't worry about it, then. I just interpreted it as "I wanna get out of here!" behavior.

Hey...one of the females is defnitely a good looking guppy...but the other one...well let's just say she's basically a feeder guppy. He doesn't seem to have very high standards, though.

completely normal. fish usualy do the whole glass thing when they are moved or handled. simply means stressed of some sorts. but dont worry it'll settle down. i'd be stressed too if i had 2 fine ladies ;) "which one first?!?!?!) :P

Do you use aquarium salt? It helps to reduce stress.
Maybe he sees his reflection in the glass and is doin some primpin! Gettin everything proper. :D
